UI Advises 408 Students To Withdraw

It was reportedly stated that about 408 students of the University of Ibadan has been asked to withdraw by the Senate of the university over their poor academic performances.The decision was made at the Senate’s meeting where the results of non-graduating and graduating students were scrutinized.

Most of the affected students were admitted to the school during the 2016/2017 academic session that post-UTME test was not conducted.The Vice Chancellor of the Institution,Prof.Adeyinka Aderinto has vowed to intensify the academic standards of the institution despite the financial mess it is currently in.He added that it is the conduct of the Post Utme Examination that discerns the critical difference between an average and smart student and it has contributed to the higher standards of the institution over the years.
