The Oyedepo Controversy: Should Churches Be Opened?

Do you consider churches, mosques, and other religious institutions as essential, and why?

This is basically the argument a lot of people are having this morning; and you know how sensitive the subjects of religion and pastors are; especially in Nigeria.

This is the video that kicked everything off:

In the video, the Winners church leader, Oyedepo; called out the government for not including the reopening of churches, in the lockdown relaxation initiative.

And while some people think Oyedepo has a point, others think otherwise;

What do you think?

I agree. Church isn’t an essential service; and besides you don’t have to be in a building before you can do service. Abi did government ban online service ni?

The church building would be reopened when all this is over but I don’t agree with him please. This is the time to give to the poor and really help the flock spiritually and morally. It is not really about opening up churches
