My name is Osigwe Oluwatosin; I am an 100 Student of Mechanical Engineering at the University Of Lagos. My Provenance is Imo state.I bake and make cakes.I am the CEO of Culinary King.
What ignited the spark in you to venture into this business?
Well, I’ll say that mum started the good fire in me.As a child, watching her bake and trying to bake with her gave me all the skills I needed. As time went on,I realised how much I had fell in love with baking.
Do you intend to go into the Business full-time after School?
Definitely, I will venture fully into baking business after school but it is going to happen after working with my certificate for a while just to have a taste of the course that made me tarried in school.
If you had the chance to start all over again, what would you do differently?
Well, I wish I had started saving up more money for my business earlier.
Are you an adventurous type of person? What’s the most stimulating experience you have ever had in your Entrepreneurial journey?
Of course, I am an adventurous person. The most stimulating experience I have ever had was the first time I started my baking business and sold one cake during Valentine. The accolades that was showered on me drove me to forge ahead and never to give up.That was simply what I thirsted for then and my thirstiness was quenched.
Who do you look up to in your business industry?
My role model in this business goes to Dr.Robert. He is a medical doctor. His tenacity inspires me. Abandoning a medical profession for baking is a rare feat that is yet to be achieved by many people in this world. Today, he is known for his amazing cakes and all.
Tell me about a time you had to slog your way to get through tons of work from Class and Business. How did you get through it?
As far as school is concerned, everyday has always been a challenging one.Baking or no baking, it has never been so easy but God is always there to help.
In one word, to what do you most attribute success?
What piece of advice do you have for budding entrepreneurs?
Without mincing words, I would say that it is not easy to start a business but it is wise to never give up whenever one makes a move. Most importantly, be contented with whatever amount you have in store for your business and avoid loans.Loan kills business faster than one thinks.
What do you think of Vasiti?
It is an awesome platform that can never be ruled out especially for budding Student entrepreneurs because they exists as a billboard in which we can display our entrepreneurial works.
