Can We Meet You?

My name is Ogunyemi Modupeoluwa Gloria; a 300 level Law student of the University of Ibadan. I am from Ilaje, Ondo state.I am a self trained makeup artist and the CEO of Mo Makeovers located at Queen Idia Hall,University of Ibadan.

What ignited the spark in you to venture into this business?

I have always had the passion to work and not rely on anyone for my finances. When I got admission into University of Ibadan, I really wanted to do something since there was little that my mum could do. I tried selling weavons, but it didn’t go well as expected. So, I decided to delve into makeovers in my first year; it worked out well unexpectedly.

Do you intend to go into the Business full-time after School?

Well, my initial plan was to earn extra cash from this business while in school but as time goes on, I came to the realisation that I love what I do and would like to put in more effort.

If you had the chance to start all over again, what would you do differently?

Well, there are a lot of things I would like to do differently if I had the chance of starting all over again but it is more like a  caution notice, never start a business that  you are yet  to master. There is this saying by John Maxwell that the world isn’t looking for inferior in quality, the world wants the best; nobody is ever going to pay for less quality, everybody wants the best. So, if I had a chance to start again, I would try to give the best to my customers.

Are you an adventurous type of person? Whats the most stimulating experience you have ever had in your Entrepreneurial journey?

Yes, I am. My first bridal makeover was a stimulating experience since I went beyond the four walls of University of Ibadan.

Who do you look up to in your business industry?

There are countless makeup artists on my list but I like the passion and grandeur that permeates around MLpro Lolade.

Tell me about a time you had to slog your way to get through tons of work from Class and Business. How did you get through it?

It has not been easy  but then, I have a unique power. It had been a pretty therapy;  it is the power of making decisions and being able to take responsibility irrespective of its outcome. If there is a need for me to miss a particular class for my business, I would do so. It doesn’t mean that I undermine classes,  I have never let my guard down.

In one word, to what do you most attribute success?

What piece of advice do you have for budding entrepreneurs?

Strive to be the best at what you do.Never be scared of that which you can do. Be passionate about what you do. Passion keeps  you going.Pray and work hard too.

What do you think of Vasiti?

I think it is a good platform that broadens one’s horizon as far as entrepreneurship is concerned.
