Meet our Student Entrepreneur of the week:
My name is taiku Yetunde oluwabukola, a student of the Botany, in the University of Ibadan.
My business is otaiku_naturals; and it is specialized in organic skincare and haircare products.
Everything must have a reason. For Miss Yetunde,
Making ends meet and following my passion is what inspired me to build my business.
On how she has been able to effectively balance school with business,
I employed a good time management strategy. I always have a time for business, deliveries and orders ensuring it is not hindering my school works and assignments.
A good support system is very important for every budding entrepreneur. Miss Yetunde found hers in her parents:
My parents have been very supportive, they share me knowledge and ideas.
Starting a business from scratch, and building a loyal customer base is not the easiest thing to do. Here’s how she did it:
I actually started it from people around me, my friends , classmates, hostel mates, Whatapp groups and all . They helped me refer more customers and that’s how my customer base started.
Miss Yetunde also has words of encouragement for budding student entrepreneurs out there:
They should never give up, Rome was not built in a day.
Keep investing, learning new techniques, relearning what you have learnt.
And keep being persistent. One day will be one day.
Gushing about Vasiti, she said:
Vasiti has made my business known to thousands of people not just in my location but all over the world.
Thank you vasiti.
