In what has been described as a proof that the Akeredolu led administration listens to the voice of the good people of Ondo State while protecting the interest of students in the state, the management of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, Ondo State has announced a newly approved tuition fee for the 2019/2020 academic session.
The newly approved tuition fee gets a 30% reduction compared to the previous years.
The 30% reduction of the tuition fee is coming as a result of the intervention of the state government in ensuring that qualitative education is made available and accessible to the good people of Ondo state.
The students, parents and other stakeholders had pleaded to the administration to help in the reduction of the tuition fee.
And in response to this, Governor Akeredolu had stated that the state Government cannot alone continue to bear the burden of running tertiary institutions in the state, nevertheless promised to look into the review of the tuition fee.
The administration must be commended for its readiness and willingness to put first the interest of the students.
Parents guardians and students of the institution can now look forward to a new academic session with joy.
The newly approved tuition fee structure. ND 1 and 2, Science and Non-Science based pay a paltry sum of 70,600.00 and 67,000,00 respectively. While the HND 1 and 2 Science and Non-Science are to pay 77,600,00 and 72,700,00.
Nonindigent students. ND 1 and 2 Science and Non-Science students will be required to pay a sum of 77,600.00 and 74,100.00. The HND 1 and 2 Science and Non-science students are to pay 86,000.00 and 81,000.00
