This is NIGERIA.
Once again, popular singer Falz the bahd guy has been sanctioned on his controversial song titled “This is Nigeria”.
The singer who has previously been sanctioned and sued over the usage of hijabs by the dancers in the video of the song has been called to “order” by the Nigerian broadcasting cooperation. (NBC).
comments like “Nigeria is a joke”, “Nigeria is a scam” and so on was seen on the singer’s instagram page. But really,
Was Falz speaking the bitter Truth?
The controversies surrounding this song has made people oblivious to the content of the song.
Falz spoke the truth in song, ranging from the #endsars SARS issues to Fulani herdsmen to kidnap of girls and let’s not forget the snake that allegedly swallowed 36million naira.
Falz simply used the only platform he knew (Music) to communicate his thoughts and make our leaders know that they need to do something.
Since all songs “supposedly” passes through the NBC for thorough inspection before being aired, I believe the song should have being sanctioned right from inception if they suspect the lyrics to be “vulgar” not months after its release.
Could this be a form of laxity in the NBC?
Furthermore, Olamide and Wande Coal’s song “see Mary see Jesus and Iskaba” respectively was also sanctioned under the same offense of using vulgar lyrics.
But really was NBC on a compulsory leave of absence when these songs were being released? ?
No be talk am o, gist like these na dem dey rush us…..#LoL ?
let’s see how this plays out. #eating?
