Fulani Herdsmen Saga: The Nigerian Army Troop Arrests Two Fulani Herdsmen With Destructive Intent In Benue State

Report have it that the Nigerian army troops, 707 Special Forces Brigade who were on daily patrol arrested two armed herdsmen along Gbajimba – Iyiodeh road in Guma local government area of Benue state on February 6 2018 while the culprits were planning to annihilate a fish farm that belongs to the Governor of the State,Samuel Ortom.

The Special forces said that they heightened the mode of their attack when the herdsmen fought back and tried to escape simultaneously.They arrested two of them and others fled. The Army had promised to start daily patrol in other states like Taraba, Kogi, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Niger states to curb recent killings and kidnapping cases by Fulani herdsmen.
