Being in school is fun and all. I mean, you get to make friends, have your own squad, and just do your thing.
While taking school work serious, of course.
However, there are some mistakes you shouldn’t make:
1. Not making a lot of friends.
Being quiet or antisocial is not a bad thing, it doesn’t mean you can’t have friends. Lots of them, because after school; it’s your network that’s going to do most of the work for you.
2. Reading just for grades.
You shouldn’t read just to pass that exam. Read for knowledge. Read to know. Nobody is going to treat you special because of your good grades. They’ll treat you special because of what you know and what you can do.
3. Picking just one extracurricular activity.
Yes, you have school work and all; but your extracurricular activity outside of the classroom should not be limited to just one sport or one thing. Explore your interest.
4. Trying to do it all alone.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
5. Being unnecessarily rude to lecturers.
You may need a reference later, and you’d want them to remember you as a good student.
6. Not backing up your work.
This is one of the worst mistake a student can make. Always back up your work. Always.
