Nigerian Universities

Campus Conflict – C.U, Unilag and U.I; Are They Really World Class Universities?

One argument that can never get old is the which university is better? argument.

Even if top world ranking institutions compile a list of the best universities in Nigeria; some will just not agree. There will always be a ‘mistake’ somewhere.

Some just cannot accept defeat.

Moving on,

Times Higher Education has just released its 2020 World Universities Ranking; and only three Nigerian universities made it to the top 1,000.

1. Covenant University.

2. University of Lagos.

3. University of Ibadan.

So, the question now is; are these really world class schools?

Covenant University may have good academic standing; but the school is most often referred to as a ‘secondary school’

(You know what that implies).

University of Lagos, on the other hand, has questionable teaching and hostel facilities; while many believe University of Ibadan is only still relevant because it is the oldest – and first – University in Nigeria.

Do you think these three schools actually deserve to be in the top 1,000?

Or what school should have been in the list?

And if you know that your school has no hope (think well) …….

I didn’t say anything o.

Meanwhile, rep your school in the comments.
