ASUU: Two Weeks ‘Warning’ Strike, And How Twitter Is Reacting.

With ASUU, it’s always one thing or the other. But this time, it is the IPPIS which has been causing tension between the union, and federal government.

If you are still confused about IPPIS; here’s a quick sum up;

The tussle concerning this policy commenced since then; between the federal government and the union; with unending threats of strike action.

In 2019, President Muhammadu Buhari, ordered that all public sector workers must register for the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS); which will ultimately help to not just save cost; but also fight corruption by blocking leakages in the Federal Government’s salary payment structure.

Meanwhile, someone seems to have a reason for ASUU’s rigid opposition:

Do you agree?

Now, ASUU has commenced a two week ‘warning’ strike in protest against the IPPIS.

So the real thing is even still yet to come.

Trust Nigerians to make jokes out of it:

Do you think ASUU is justified?

And if you’re a student, are you happy about the impromptu holiday? Be honest.
