As the ASUU Strike 2018 progresses into its 4th week, The President of the union has advised advised Nigerian students to brace themselves up for a longer strike period.

He Hinted that the ongoing strike will continue as no concrete progress is being reached by both parties.

The President also called on both parents to show solidarity and support them to save the Nigerian University system.

The ASUU boss stated that the both the federal and state governments need to urgently reconsider their approach toward the development of universities to avoid an outright collapse in the near future.

Reacting to the outcome of the last meeting with the FG held on November 26th. The ASUU president Announced that the FG didn’t make a commitment on what to do about these demands. Instead, the FG delegate were appealing to the union to go back to the classrooms.

They (FG) Insisted on tackling  the issues without strike going on. The president of the union described this as  the FG missing the point.

He Then added that ASUU was told that further negotiation will continue on Friday, November 30th.
