When the mandatory lockdown started, one of the funniest comments was that the period will either make or break relationships or marriages.
Well, that is very true.
Check out this mail I got last mail I got last week:
Dear Agony Aunt,
My boyfriend and I have been apart for a few weeks due to the lockdown. I would have stayed at his place; but he told me he was stuck in Ogun state as at when the lockdowns started, because he does business there also.
So anyway, I was talking to my friend this morning, and she told me that I should not mind him; that she saw him in a shopping mall with another girl on the island.
I was very shocked. I didn’t even know what to say.
He won’t get away with this. First to do no dey pain o, Victor. E no dey pain. No problem.
Here’s how I replied:
You have every reason to be paranoid, but that reason should not come from your friend. Your friend told you something happened, really does not mean it did happen. In that area, be cautious.
Also, maybe you should do a little investigating on your own. After all, he’ll hath no fury than a woman scorned.
Or you can just confront him.
But, maybe, just maybe, the person your friend saw is just a look alike; or even a case of mistaken identity.
All I’m saying is, tread carefully.
Drop a piece of advice for her.
